On the night He was betrayed, our Lord gathered with His disciples to eat the final Passover. He then instituted the Holy Supper for the forgiveness of sins. The Sacrament of the Altar is the ongoing testament of God’s love in Christ’s body and blood. On the eve of His crucifixion Jesus also showed His love by washing His disciples’ feet. He commands them and us to “love one another.”
A service of Holy Communion is celebrated on Maundy Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
