Rev. Subin Raj, a Lutheran pastor from India will be our guest preacher.  He is a fourth generation Lutheran.  His  great grandfather was the pioneer of Lutheran church in the his state Kerala.  Rev. Raj ministers to a community that was previously called ‘untouchables.’  Today they call themselves as ‘Dalits,’ meaning “the broken people.”  They are poor and many of them do menial jobs and manual labor for livelihood.  As a pastor he works with families and children facing issues like alcoholism, domestic abuse, suicide and other family issues.  Rev. Raj is working on his doctorate in counseling and is planning to start a pastoral care center as an opportunity to help the poor and needy and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
